Hamilton Mountain

Recommendation: Re-ELECT NDP MP CHRIS CHARLTON

Our general position is to back sitting MP's where the race is between the NDP and the Liberals, as the case in Hamilton Mountain.

If you do vote to support Ms. Charlton's re-election, make sure she earns your vote! We believe the NDP wants to fight global warming, but their populist position on lower gas prices gives us pause. Surely the NDP agree that cheaper gas means more emissions, not less! Please ask MP Charlton to clarify whether her party supports putting a price on the pollution that causes global warming.

We're not the only ones who are concerned about the NDP's stand on this issue: read what former NDP environment critic Lynn McDonald had to say in the Toronto Star in July.

Sources used in this recommendation:

Please keep in mind our recommendations are based on a review of previous outcomes, election prediction sites and the commentary of pundits and constituents. Every riding is unique, and recommendations based on regional polling trends do not necessarily capture that. You are best situated to make the call on who to vote for. The most important thing you can do is talk to your friends and neighbours, assess the local race yourself, and make an informed decision as to who has the best chance of keeping the Conservative out of office. Work together!

Make the candidate earn your vote!

We encourage you to support the recommended candidate, but they have to realise you are doing this because you want action on climate change. Please keep the pressure on over the next two weeks!
