The resignation of the Liberal incumbent makes this riding a two-way race between the Liberals and the NDP. Either outcome will be a win because it keeps the seat out of Conservative hands. We're recommending the Liberal, because of late the NDP's positions on gas prices have run counter to their pledge to reduce the pollution that causes global warming.
No matter who you choose to vote for this election, don't give them a free ride! Ask the candidates tough questions, and tell them your vote is a call for strong action to reduce emissions.
Please keep in mind our recommendations are based on a review of previous outcomes, election prediction sites and the commentary of pundits and constituents. Every riding is unique, and recommendations based on regional polling trends do not necessarily capture that. You are best situated to make the call on who to vote for. The most important thing you can do is talk to your friends and neighbours, assess the local race yourself, and make an informed decision as to who has the best chance of keeping the Conservative out of office.
