Together we can build a climate-friendly government!
The first chart below shows how the 308 seats in the House of Parliament are distributed now, giving us a Conservative minority government that has not acted on global warming.
Current seat distribution in the House of Commons
34 seats currently held by the Conservatives were tight races in the 2006 general election. If climate voters can work together to agree on an alternative candidate in these ridings, they can shift these seats over to the climate-friendly parties in the next election.
46 seats currently held by the Liberals, NDP, Green Party and Bloc Québécois were also tight races in the 2006 general election and subsequent by-elections. We encourage voters in these ridings to rally behind these sitting MP's to ensure that they hold these seats.
