Canadians are proud of our long tradition of caring for each other and the environment. We take pride in the fact that Canada is one of the fairest and healthiest countries in the world.
These traditions are threatened. If we want to see Canada play a leadership role in fighing global warming, if we want a better future for our children, families and friends, this election is our time to act.
What is at stake -- for Canada and the Climate.
Vote for Climate asks people to vote strategically in support of action on global warming. We think this is warranted because scientists tell us that we have only a few years in which to start seriously reducing emissions if we are to avoid irreversible, runaway changes to earth's climate. Canada needs to confront the climate crisis head on, starting now. If global warming is a key voting issue for you, we ask that you strongly consider our appeal to vote strategically.
If you are concerned about climate change but plan to vote based on party loyalty, or to "send a message" to one or more parties, we ask that you carefully consider how this will effect the outcome in your riding. Splitting the climate vote in close ridings will simply help re-elect a Conservative government which has shown little interest in confronting the climate crisis. We cannot afford 4 more years of government indifference. Everyone concerned about global warming needs to work together to send Canada in a new direction.

The climate crisis is also an opportunity -- our opportunity to create a healthy, fair and prosperous society for our children and grandchildren, and Canada's opportunity to contribute to and benefit from the global shift to a green economy.
